MPI Research Summit 2009

MPI Research, in conjunction with the Van Andel Institute® and MichBio, is proud to announce that the topic of its 2009 educational summit is Novel Therapeutic Biologics: Innovative Molecules and Mechanisms. Held October 11-13, 2009, the summit is part of the continuing series of education seminars, Advances in Therapeutic Discovery and Drug Development, hosted by MPI Research.

The cosponsors for this year’s summit are the Van Andel Institute and MichBio. Established in 1996, Van Andel Institute (VAI) is an independent research and educational organization based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, committed to improving the health and enhancing the lives of current and future generations through basic and translational biomedical research and science education. Van Andel Research Institute probes the genetic, cellular and molecular origins of cancer, Parkinson’s and other diseases and works to translate those findings into effective therapies. This is accomplished through the work of over 200 researchers in 18 on-site laboratories, in laboratories in Singapore and Nanjing, and in collaborative partnerships that span the globe.

MichBio is the association for Michigan’s Biosciences industry. It is committed to driving industry growth by fostering the collective impact of its members, by serving as their unified voice and by providing them with education, information, connections and other vital services. MichBio members include biosciences companies, academic and research institutions, bioscience service providers, and related organizations.

Notable speakers from industry, regulatory, and academia will present their latest findings, and will focus on opportunities, challenges, and common themes that are shaping the processes required to successfully develop and commercialize innovative therapeutic biologics, involving the novel integration of scientific disciplines to assess the preclinical and clinical safety parameters.

Because registration is limited towards enhancing informal tactical and strategic discussions, summit attendees will have ample opportunity to discuss with summit presenters their own unique experiences along the critical path to therapeutic approvals.

Anyone interested in learning more about the role of novel biologics in discovery and development will find this meeting to be highly relevant. Register online by clicking the link above or by calling Amber Nelson at +1 269.668.3336, ext. 4202.

Suggestions for future summit topics can be submitted to Summit@mpiresearch.com.
